About
Grant Showacre, 47, is a father of three and Grandfather of four, two boys and two girls. He is presently serving in the Albany County Assessor's office as the Deputy Assessor. In his 6 years, Grant's many duties include being the Lead Appraiser for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Grant's education is in business management and accounting. He owned his first business for over 7 years at the age of 22. Grant has also been a general manager in a national corporation. He is presently an officer of their family-owned insurance agency and also manages their investment properties in his spare time.
Grant has long been involved in the community. He is a founding member of Habitat for Humanity of Albany County. He chaired the Site Selection Committe and was responsible for the land that was donated for the first two homes built. Some of Grant's other community involvement include: member of Kiwanis, Ambassador for the Laramie Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer and Vice Presedent to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Community Board, Albany County State Committeman, third degree Knight's of Columbus, and a member of the Cowyboy Joe Club.
Grant's education, experience and community involvement make him an ideal candidate for the position of County Assessor. Grant's forward thinking and demand for the highest level of customer service and open door policy in and out of the office tells the voters he is here to serve them.
